About Me

My photo
Tina Baine
California
This blog is a compilation of my monthly DIY columns published in the Santa Cruz Sentinel (Santa Cruz, California) from 2011 through 2016. These columns focused on the how-tos of crafting practical objects from inexpensive and recycled materials. My goal was to entice readers to try new techniques and materials, expand their definition of art, and encourage their creative endeavors. As a former newspaper photographer, I like to incorporate photographic images into much of my personal work. In November 2022, I published my first non-fiction book, "AROMASTORY, the overlooked history of an underdog town," which featured my writing as well as photographs and illustrations..
